As the winter is about here now I decided to get a cover for the 220. I had a search on the Forum and it seemed the Halfords cover came reccomende but I couldn't find any pics of it fitted to the car. I decided to buy one anyway as it is a 3 layer breathable cover and at £59 seem good value. For a universal cover I think it fits ok and has yet to blow off as it has with underbody straps. Size is medium. I don't hook the cover over the rear diffuser as the edges are sharp and it will simply cut through and ruin the cover but i think it would fit better on a car without a diffuser.

Trevor.

Result ! I bought one of these yesterday and I was undecided which size to go for. Like you I err'd on the safe side and went for Medium. It looks good for a generic cover. I'll be fitting mine on Sunday, ready for a week on the drive before it goes into Autoglass to have the drivers window fitted. With some plastic covering the window and this cover I'm hoping it keeps the car dry.

This is really handy. I'm just considering covers. I'm finding the moss is coming off the house roof and the car ends up filthy all the time. Cant be bothered with the constant cleaning so thinking about a cover. Does look like it needs a centre strap though.

I would have thought attaching a centre strap wouldn't be too difficult, either good quality velcro or an old bag clip should do the job.

Yeah, I'd considered digging the sewing machine out.

That looks huge, would a small not fit better? I have access to a trade motor factors and they had a range of covers there all under £30, the breathable type, wasnt 100% if the breathable covers are waterproof though?

My small cover fits well! But it blew off last night snapping both straps. I'm sure the wind will love your medium, so I'd try and get as many straps fitted as possible

It'll be like a VX220 hot air baloon floating in the sky come tonight, would look pretty impressive though ;)

Ditto the wind put a split in mine where the strap attatches, I think it needs a third strap from front to back.

The small is a very good snug fit, I will post a pic... . .

It has to be said though the wind was particularly bad last night and the cover is pretty well made and suitable for normal weather.

I was going to say, mine definitely is smaller than the top one, and I bought the medium size. Coincidentally having requested a sample of materials from Coverzone, for another idea I have in mind... I couldn't really tell the difference. Matt, buy with confidence!

Anarchy,

Is the cover in the pic a small Halfords item? I went for the medium as that is what I read was the correct size but did think it might be too big and perhaps it is. I can use this on another car and buy a small one if that is what you are showing.

Trevor.

It was this off Ebay but it came with no Halfords packaging just a clear bag, so just going by what the seller described. http://cgi.ebay.co.u...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT
