Hhmmm just hit 27, best get cracking!

Better than me - only just discovered this thread, I think I'm on level 14 and only got £931 to my name. Looks like I've got some catching up to you chaps...

Having more success in my VXT...

...compared to my elise trophy car though...

Will remember to add some of you chaps in, I can always act as mobile chicane - I'm moospeed on PS3 (oddly enough)

 Nicely done. I still dont have a VX of any kind. Does anyone remember which series or race you need to win to win the VX?

I am robnavx on PSN. I am at level 19 or 20 I think, but loving the online races with mates thumbsup

I bought the VX220 when I first saw it in used cars but I think they come up fairly frequently. It nearly bankrupted me to buy and I then proceeded to spend any further winnings I got on the red paint, Larini, susp upgrade - if I could only paint the V, windscreen surround and wheels then I'd be getting close to complete replica of my car.

I've also bought an Opel Speedster Turbo and thrown every upgrade at it aside from weight loss (this was for the seloc 320/1000 races) but it's not anywhere near as nice to drive as the VX. The one advantage it did have was the calypso red paint so I resprayed the VX again with the right shade of red. Doesn't look much (any?) different on screen but at least I know it's the right red now ;)

Over on seloc there's a load of online GT5'ers. Unfortunately my timing doesn't match up that well with theirs for the online racing but generally, aside from the arcade cars they've setup three classes. I could only afford an elise trophy car and was hoping to get something good for 320/1000 class as that seems most active. That's max 1000bhp and min 320kg, no... switch that... other than that I think it's sports tyres but fairly open otherwise.

The only other problem aside from me getting on there too late for many races is that I'm rubbish. I'm not expecting any great results with my hard-to-drive purple Speedster when others on the grid are lined up in touring cars...

Judging by how much money they have won and what level they are on I'd say some people on SELOC appear to spend waaaaaaaayyyyyy too much time on GT5!

You're not wrong there. I reckon Harwood has spent at least 4-5 hours on it every day since it was released ;)

That's pretty good going, I've never rolled

It's easy.

Trial mountain, the last corner, the right hander of the chicane onto the start finish straight, it's like a ramp if you cut it too much. :D

That Red Bull X1 video is mental, everything apart from the steering wheel movement is telling me it has been sped up.

That is sped up. Someone who is semi decent on computers could superimpose the 'proper' clock on sped up footage. thumbsdown

I got the red bull at the weekend but haven't had time to test it out properly yet though I did do the indy 500 and I was doing 32-33 second laps with out ajusting any of the settings.you get it free for getting b-spec up to level 35 which is easy once you unlock the endurance races as you can just start one of the 2hour+ events and go and do something else.A useful site for finding out roughly home much xp and credits each race gives per minuet is HereThough it is only of use after level 17.

It sure doesn't seem sped up to me. the sync between the wheel and the turns is perfect. no ammount of superimnposing could get you that. and if you look closelly, you don't see any morph or pixels around the clock either. I've worked with video processing and if a guy did that, he'd have to be more than semi-decent.
Anyway, don't know why all the fuss. A VX is still faster around the corners :D

Cheers...

The missus has just got me a PS3 and GT5 for my birthday. What's the quickest way to get on the Ring and Spa??
