Anyone else finding themselves waiting for the now ridiculously easy seasonal events, preferred it when there was limitations on entrants. Having said that the latest round I've kept the cars standard (apart from the vw rubbish) and still think they are much easier then Bonus 1. Only races left are endurance really. Last night I was redoing licences to try and get all gold! Time to get online methinks!

Revisiting some races I've not done in a while. Not managed to get beyond bronze on this one but still fun. Take 1 oops Better but still slow

i found that 8c race a pain, i golded it after about 30 tries lol i agree that the seasonal events are way too easy.

I did the Grand Tour thing last night and that 8C was all over the bloody place. No wonder all of them seem to have ended up as garage ornaments.

Of that grand tour lot the lp670 race is by far the trickiest.

A definite thumbs up for the online races if you get hooked up with a good bunch (people you know rather than the random nutta's out there). In fact I think the next few times I get GT5-time I'll have to drop back to doing some "career" mode things, Spec-A, Spec-B, etc. as all I've done every time is get online. I'm not any good but it's still fun if you're in a properly organised, restricted-car race. Re; trying to get a game to practise Spa. I remember trying to do a similar thing prior to my first go at Cadwell, just to learn vaguely which way the course went obviously. I ended up buying a few games on PS2 and PC just with the vague hope of finding it, I think I found out that TOCA had it in there, bought the game and then found I needed to complete several hours of championships to unlock it Wonder if they can expand the courses in the online GT5 world. I know they've said about the possibility of creating new cars and they've already created the "Seasonal Events" thing. Wonder how much flexibility they have... I'd even pay a small nominal fee if they came out with something like seasonal event which was something like "Caterham Academy at Cadwell, Oulton Park, etc."

I only have a joypad. Driving God ?

I'll rephrase... impossible with a joypad (unless you are a driving God like VXT Tim )

What I find most irritating with a joypad is that you can't juice power in as you expertly did in your video. You just have, as Clarkson would put it, "POWEEEEEER!!!" or nothing. And we all know what happens in a RWD car when you have the front wheels turned (or not) and you go pedal to the metal right?


BTW: the 8C is just porn...

I don't find it that much of a problem really, I'm not buying a wheel and I can't use those dual shock things. Having said that, as I've mentioned I'm redoing licences, some, more specifically those with banking as opposed to straight forward turns require the steering with dual shock as you scrub too much speed with the d pad. The final licence which is a one lap battle at the high speed ring is a prime example.

I have 51 golds in the licences the rest (9 of them) i have done in silver, really struggling with them though, funny enough none of them are in the s license!

What aren't in the s licence?

B, A and S are all gold. The internationals are a mixture of gold silver and 1 bronze
It's a fwd slalom in some green jap crap that I'm struggling with.


I really am bored with it now, I went on last night and had nothing to do.

Agreed.

From memory a really annoying test is the Tuscan at the german gp circuit. Extremely frustrating.
