Hi guys im thinking of selling my vx :( his is the advert i will put up when i put it on the net but im going to put it on here for a few weeks incase anyone on here wants it first as im in no rush at all, and i know being the winter i have even less chance of selling it so il keep it if i dont get much responce and wait untill next year! I will put some pictures up over the weekend. 2004 (54) VX220 Turbo TMS Stage 4 34,000 miles £14,995 I am reluctantly selling my Black Sept 2004(54) TMS Stage 4 VX220 Turbo (32900 miles). This car was professionally converted by Thorney to Stage 4 in October 2007 with 22195 miles on the clock. It was running 290bhp and 322ft/lbs. It has the usual components of this upgrade including new turbo, actuator, injectors, charge cooler, sachs clutch, lightened flywheel, full Miltek exhaust and remap. Since then i have added a full flow apexi air filter and a Full de-cat, this made a massive difference its definatly over 300bhp now and sounds amazing! I improved the car further and took it to Thorney for an AP Brakes kit upgrade (plus new rear discs). The car is also fitted with Compomotive Speedlinealikes (VX220.org.uk group deal) in Anthracite, they look amazing and are very rare. It has Gaz Gold coilovers all round which are height and rebound adjustable. I have them set just right for pin sharp handling without any noticeable loss of comfort over the standard Bilsteins they replaced. I just had the n/s/f Shock refurbed by Gaz under warrenty as it was leaking. The car has following extra's: central locking, alarm, sill pockets, passenger footrest, VX220 mats. It also has carbon fibre sill protectors, fitted carpets on floor and sides, anti-rattle door pins, hard wiring for Tom Tom, Alpine IDA X100 head unit with ipod connectivity/control, Focal 165ca speakers and JBL GTO 752 amp behind seats. Yes, you can listen to your music, roof off, whatever speed! I have maintained this car regardless of cost. A brand new gearbox (one of the last in stock with Vauxhall UK) was fitted by Steve Williams in early 2009 after a fault with a selector fork. Also recently fitted was a Rear Diffuser that i got in a group buy off the vx220.org.uk site which makes the car look fantastic! It is my 2nd car and is simply not used enough to justify having at this point in time as i have just moved house. Its covered just very little miles 2000 of which were on a 6 day Alps trip in Sept 2008! It has been garaged since my ownership and comes with a protective cover for indoor use and i have never used it in the wet! As you would expect it is insanely fast the fastest iv car i have ever driven, it requires a huge amount of respect when driving. I have always treated the car properly, allowed it to warm up fully and cool down. The car is 6 years old and mechanically perfect, it recently had a full service, brake fluid change and MOT at Vauxhall in Bristol. I will also be honest about the cosmetics of the car. Like most VX's it is quite heavily stone chipped on the front and down the near side. There is also some bubbling on the rear clam boot area, this hasn't worsened since I took ownership and isn't very noticeable. I have toyed with the idea of having the car re-sprayed but the bodywork is original and I think that speaks volumes about the car. As far as I can tell by a visual inspection and the paintwork the car has never been involved in an accident. The previous owner de-badged the rear of the car completely, which is a personal preference. I will include a new "VX220" and "Turbo" badges if you wish to fit them, I never got round to it. The front V section has also been sprayed black by a previous owner which you could easily revert back to silver. The seat bolster on the driver's seat is also worn slightly, another common VX trait. Finally, the car has a personalised plate T80 VXT (TurBO VXT) which will be included in the sale! I have all the history, service bills, receipts, MOT's etc, 2 sets of keys/fobs, owner's manual etc which was one of main reasons I chose to buy this car. It is HPI clear and has no finance against it. If you are serious about buying a stage 4 car then please contact me. Before you do so please make sure you can get it insured. I will be happy to take you for a good (and safe) drive in the car but I will not allow anybody to test drive it unless we have done a deal. I would not expect anybody to hand money over without driving it first and you being totally satisfied about the car. Any professional inspection will also be welcome. Service/MOT History 29/6/05 - Service -750 miles - Bellingers Vauxhall 05/06/06 - Service -8627 miles - Thorney Motorsport 30/04/07 - Service - 19677 miles - Belmont Vauxhall 3/10/2007 - MOT - 22430 miles 28/04/08 - 4th Year Service & Cam Belt Change - 28777 miles - Thorney Motorsport 09/09/08 - MOT - 29544 miles 12/09/08 - AP Brake Kit, new rear discs, fast road geo - 29534 miles 05/06/09 - Service - 31946 miles - Steve Williams Sportcars (Lotus Specialist) 06/10/09 - MOT - 32395 miles 06/09/10 - 32991 miles full service Taxed until 04/2010 It is difficult to price a car like this because there are so few of them. To tune a car to this level, fit brakes, wheels etc would cost £10k over a standard VX220. Whatever way you look at it you're not going to get a faster more capable car for the money. I am not in a hurry to sell it but appreciate I must be realistic about the price so am asking £14,995. I will listen to all sensible offers but won't listen to scammers or canvassers, so let's not waste anybody's time. :) chrisolds@msn.com email me or pm if your interested then i shall hand out my number thanks.

Not looking to buy, but sounds like a realistic price for the spec assuming condition is good. Might be worth some pics?

This motor sounds right up my street but Bristol is pushing it a bit for a Geordie lad.

I owned this car for 2 1/2 years before Chris. I travelled up from Surrey to Aberdeen by air to buy it. Then drove it back 570 miles so we were acquainted quickly. Only word to describe the car is "Awesome"!

This made me laugh....when I purchased my VX I flew from ireland to liverpool, got a train to manchester, taxi to accrington and then a £180 taxi to the other side of middlesborugh! that sounds like a relatively short journey in comparrison! lol

Lumberjack, your car looks a belter too but even at the reduced price it was just a bit more than i was looking to spend.Think i'm gonna settle on an M3 instead and work on getting the weight down and the power up.As for the travelling,it's not the distances that are so much the problem, it's the standstill traffic, wagons pulling out and taking 2 miles to pass,18 mile stretches of 50mph average speed which stay in place on bank hols even when no fuxxer is working and telling you they left them in place for safety reasons.I'm telling you, this country is seriously fuxxed up.

weight down and power up will never be cheap on a M3, if its power and driverability your after you cant beat a vx220T.
But, its a vauxhall (thats my excuse for not buying another one!!)
