Fab is that crossing date correct? I guess you're only doing Bugatti then, but you're still mad.

done the same trip myself, midnight crossing, then head down to paris for the trackday in La Ferte Gaucher. Worst bit was no petrol stations open except for one in a really bad area in paris.

Fab is that crossing date correct? I guess you're only doing Bugatti then, but you're still mad.


yes only bugatti le mans and have to take money on the saturday at work
so will have a quick shower after work and zoom to the tunnel and after will have a nice empty open road to le mans :wub:
i love driving night time as all the french idiots are in bed :lol:

and yes like last years national i will be en form for the Sunday night :drink::drink:

No offence Fab but the drive from Calais to Abbeville last year was the worst experience I've had in the vx so far!
As if it wasn't bad enough having the r888s in the pouring rain in the dark, the french seem to have opted out of basic safe road design.
No cats eyes, no lighting, and road markings in such poor condition you can barely see them.
Driving with clenched buttocks and too scared to blink was not fun!

We had the same biblical conditions driving back from Le Mans 24 hour to Abbeville, the year before last. Had never seen rain like it. It even managed to destroy the Back-on-Track sunstrip that was on the car.

this isn't the first time i have done this road and have to agree on the rain ...happend to me once as well and was pretty scary
can always use paris as it is 40 minutes xtra

VX lights are rubbish , but I drove from Calais to La Ferte Gaucher, approx 200 miles , avoiding the motorway, without satnav. The worst bit was the lack of cabin lighting for Dad to read the map, plus him having to swap glasses for map reading and for road signs.

If you get to eurotunnel early , there should be loads of room to get on a couple of hours earlier, drive a bit, then pull over for a couple of hours kip, then continue.

i was my dick every time i use it and wash my hands again :D
and i have a/2 shower a day for my relaxation :P

Yup, he does. It was great fun sharing a room with him at Le Mans last year, I brushed my teeth in the bidet.
