Can't offer any real technical help Paul but, if you need some dumb manual labour in the new year, give me a shout.
Thanks for the offer but given my lack of technical skills I think it'll be a case of chucking it into a garage somewhere:
TMS - close but expensive and not to keen on them
Courtnays - long way - not sure how to get the car there. Also expensive but I do trust them
Vauxhall - very near but that will be expensive and possibly crap service too.
any other suggestions anyone?
If I go to courtnays does anyone have a trailer in the MK area I can borrow?

Didn't work though and I ended up going to Courtenay (who'd caused the problem to start with) and they took the gearbox to a specialist to fix. I still use Steve G though and he can probably sort you out ok.Or Steve Guglielmi? He did some gearbox work on VIX's car.

Personally I found Steve Guglielmi a bit pricy in the past and I would guess Hoffmans is to. I really don't like paying through the nose to fund other peoples motorsport fun!!!
I really have been spoilt finding a supurb specialist garage for my V8 MG ZT at £45 an hour including personal one to one service at days and times of my choosing.

A question on the Hotel for Le Mans;
Am I right in assuming that the first two nights are include in the Lot price so we don't need to do anything.
And...I have a email confirmation of a booking for the sunday night with no request of a deposit or payment - Is tat the same for everyone?

You're mental Fab.

I really don't know how you do it Fab, if we find you curled up in one of the pit garages at about 11am I will not be surprised.
