What times and dates
Friday 5th 8.15am dep : arrive 3pm
Monday 8th 4.30pm dep : arrive 9.15pm
for me it was £225 with Brittany Ferries , cheapest I could find
Same price, only 98 miles to LM so save on fuel/tolls and I can sleep

Are you taking the fast service out and a slow one back?
No, the full 5 3/4 hour lots of sleep ferry both ways!!!

Strewth you've got one helluva drive down from Yorkshire! I was thinking more at the France end really, looks like its a mixture of ferries and tunnel at different times so far.

Right. Decision made. Mostly.
We're going to go out on the Eurotunnel on the Tuesday/Wednesday and grab a few days in Honfleur before heading on down to LM on the Friday. The better half (or, "she of little faith" as I like to call her) has rightly pointed out that it might be more sensible to have a few days away beforehand, rather than trusting the car to be okay after LM.
Depending on what others are doing on the Friday, we might hang around and tag on the back of any mini-convoys from one or other of the ports.
Still to decide whether to come back via one of the ferry services or do the run back up to Calais though......
Surely the Dax Cobra will not have any reliability issues?

going out Thursday with the same idea, Friday and Saturday free. Although Friday may go to nearest hypermarche and convert the hotel room in to Bar VX.

Quite probably, if the engine build is down to me. Talk to me after the LoT visit in 2013, or maybe 2014, or conceivably 2015.Surely the Dax Cobra will not have any reliability issues?

Yep, handy having that big supermarket almost at the bottom of the hotel drive. Just the refrigeration issues that are the problem. When we do the 24 hour, we usually buy a dustbin, fill it one third with water, one third with ice and as many bottles of various alcohols as possible. Works pretty well if you top up the ice each day.going out Thursday with the same idea, Friday and Saturday free. hotel!?
cummon guys Lemans is all about the camping
For the 24hrs maybe but for a trackday a hotel is far more appropriate IMO. Wouldn't have enough space for a tent with 18st of Welsh Beef/Lard in the pax seat anyway
