I have one and it's great for keeping your balls warm that's about it.

So not very good then ? Thought they would just take the chill off

Hmmm. I have enormous balls with a large surface area, so any heat would be appreciated.

Has anyone tried fitting the S1 Elise heater? Apparently the early S2 used the same warmer as VX. The later S2 completely fills the trough at the front of the car and therefore brings its own problems. Best regards, Paul

At this rate may build something myself and test on a few local rock hard all year round vx driving owners ;) If I get time will do a test mock up at the weekend Harry you fancy popping round Sunday as a test subject? Fit your hard top for you at the same time :grouphug: DG

just remembered the exige s1 has aircon option, so you could borrow most of that, and refit the compressor to the engine block , power take off belt

S2 yota elise has the battery in the back and a much bigger heater box. Also the aircon option helps to get rid of condensation. I found sealing the airbox, getting a tube that fitted the inlet outlet and a lined softtop made it bareable. Steve

Not local, but year round driving and you could say 'Alpine tested'!

I thought the T7 2.2kW unit looked like a goer. I was thinking fixing it direct to the intake on the bulkhead. The engine needs a bypass on the heater is my understanding so the cable control would need to divert the water flow on a loop back to the engine when heat is nit required. that was my stumbling block. I thought this if it worked should blow loads of air in the cabin hot or cold? Was all theory though and I ended up spending the money on cams and gloves!!:0) Thought it might save some weight too!!

Thought I'd read in the last week or so that Fezzasus has been working on something and there might be some news shortly.

Still going i'm afraid - I'd have the first one in my car by now if I actually knew what I was doing when it came to fibreglass. The first enclosure stuck to the mould. I've got most of it out now but the mould will need to be repaired and prep'ed much more than previously. Hopefully i'll have it done by Sunday and something to show next week.

Fezzasus has made an excellent solution. Lots of good reviews and his thread on search.

The Fezzasus heater is fantastic. Coldest winter on record, it's my daily driver. The windscreen clears and I am warm in the car. Worth every penny!
