Hi, I will show you guys the design before a prototype gets made so I can grab some feedback on anything I may have overlooked.

I may also be interested in this, my heater isn't terrible but could be better (and has a bias towards the drivers side). I'm a bit concerned about installation, I'm guessing it won't be a simple job that I would be able to do myself?

Installation is easy, just give yourself a couple of hours and take your time, just a bit awkward at one point wriggling the box out!

As previously stated by others, a filter in there somewhere would be a nice addition. Thanks

I just popped one pipe off and angled it up behind the master cylinder and then the other popped it off and tucked it behind the inlet hole leading into the car, you will loose a dribble, just top it up afterwards and bleed the system on the bleed nipple on the passenger side radiator pipe. :)

Is it possible to remove the original heater box with the clam in place or is it a clam off job?

Hi Guys, I have sorted SoupDragon out with a make shift heater to fasten onto the inlet at the bottom of the windscreen, SoupDragon uses his car every day so it was unfair to make him go without some form of heat for a week! As soon as the old unit is ripped out I shall be taking dimensions and getting to work, I currently have a few filters to trial and an ingenious way to make the panel easily accessible without adding too much to the fabrication costs.

I forgot to add that I have taken some flow readings from the demisters, footwells and then with both open at the same time on the standard heater so we will have some figures to compare. Unfortunately the temperature reading on my anemometer seemed to read inaccurately so I do not have any temperature readings.

No, I reckon it's fine and it's just the VX heater.

Yes, wallets at the ready as well. My heaters actually quite good as far as VX heaters go but using the car daily over the winter its now getting a bit tiring and a heater like a normal car would be appreciated.

Mine is 'kin sh**, and here in Switzerland it's 'kin cold.

I could drive my other car, but the VX is so much fun, I love it. More than 1/2 an hour is too much though.

Roll on working heater!:groupjump:

Oh, sorry. I'm copying Hairy now.
