Orite Chaps. I have been down and measured up the aperature size where the original heater sits, I also nabbed SoupDragons original heater ;) for measurements and output comparison. I have been really busy the past couple of weeks and should be able to begin design work within the next couple of days.

Hey Adam Which heater did you fix soupdragon up with? and where did you put it? i was thinking of moving mine up closer to the cabin inlet like you mentioned and having a pipe from the heater matrix to the original inlet on the chassis? Or i might just wait a bit longer

I haven't fitted a heater at the mo, although Adam kindly offered.
Will probably have to do something for de-misiting but I guess it depends on how long before we get to the replacement or prototype stage!

Hey guys, Just an update to whats going on now: I have created a wire mesh to show the limits of the heater enclosure and will now be creating just a simple box based on the dual fan heater unit just to see how much difference the fans/matrix will make over the original. If there is a significant difference then I will design a proper enclosure to integrate all the features everybody would like to see!

I have now sent off the drawings to the laser cutters for prototype 1, this first prototype is simply a box with a 3" outlet at one end just to see how well the twin fans compare to the original, it can be installed in SoupDragons car if we feel the output is considerably more than the original heater I have here. If everything goes ok I shall then proceed to start developing a proper enclosure with all the features.
