This is my last bike:

Moto Morini Corsaro - 1200cc of v-twin loveliness. By far and away my favourite bike that I've owned, although typically Italian and a pain in the arse but a sense of occasion every time.

Now I've 'downgraded' to one of these:

Still a lot of fun but not quite such an event....but it starts every time

My list... (A meaningless list of letters and numbers for non-bikers)

Honda CB125

Honda VFR 750 FL

Suzuki GSXR 600 (SRAD)

Aprilia RSV Mille

Suzuki GSXR 750 K2

Aprilia Pegaso 650

Kawasaki ZX9r

Suzuki GSXR 750 (SRAD)

KTM 950 Supermoto - RIP

Kawasaki Z750s

BMW s1000r

The 1000cc twins stand out as my favourites (RSV Mille and KTM 950). I'll have another twin one day. The current steed is ridiculously ballistic and also a great commuter:

Great choices of bikes! Would be good to have both in the garage: Moto Morini for weekend fun and MT09 for when you need to get somewhere.

I was tempted by the MT09. It looks like a stonking bike for the money but I went all out and got the s1000r instead, which is completely overkill but great fun.

What are people's thoughts on the Ducati Multistrada? My old man has just traded his Harley V-rod in for a brand new one. The tech it comes with is crazy. Airbag suit, sat nav, Bluetooth headset etc.

Multistrada is a great choice - probably one of the best sports tourers you can buy.

I've never been into my bikes (or aloud to be) but I've yet to pass judgment on it. I did cough at the cost of it but I guess I'm a little out of touch on what bikes can be. I know he's said it's around 160bhp (more than an NA ) so it's not going to hang about. It's as near as a sports bike without the fairings, but he can use it for work. That's how he's justifying it to my mum a anyway. ;)

The Morini was great for setting off car alarms in the car park under our apartment :D One of life's little pleasures!

The battery dying after having the hazards on while pushing it a mile down the road (it was a heavy beast!) for fuel was the final straw though

The MT09 was a bargain for what you get. A full Akrapovic system thrown in for free sealed the deal. Sounds lovely but it's still not a big v-twin!

Now, the s1000r....that looks like a barrel of laughs :)

Such a good choice of bikes these days. Just a shame you can't own them all.

Captain Vimes, good video.  I live very close to Finchingfield, I spend a lot of time there in the summer either on bikes or chasing bikes in cars.  Awesome roads although my last adventure to Finchingfield almost killed me after the M3 I was in ended up in a ditch at 90 mph!
