Just like my car list, some embarrassing crap. Yamaha YB100 Honda CB250RS Kawasaki GTR 1000 BMW K100RT Suzuki TL1000S Suzuki GSX1300R BMW R1150GS ADV BMW K1200LT The Hayabusa was mental fun. Excellent if you live near the German Autobahn, which I did at the time. The last one I still have. I bought it for motorway commuting which I now have the VX for. Maybe I change it next year, or quit biking. Would be interested in other members lists. Can't imagine I'm the only biker.

None yet, however got the DAS done in the summer under the guise of "I'd just like to know how to ride a bike". Since then i've been reversing the usual roles and nagging the Mrs; she folded late November and said I can get one in the spring when it gets lighter and weather bucks up :D So at the minute a Street Triple is what I intend on buying in the coming weeks.

I'm so glad I didnt have to bother with this and CBT's and such like. When I was 17 in 1978 you just had to ride round the block a few times, my examiner was on foot and doing his shopping whilst I took my test, every time I came round the corner again he was carrying another bag!! My mate got his trouser leg caught on the footrest at the lights and toppled over and still passed!!!!

Read this one with interest. Until I bought my VX 220 Turbo in October, most of my 'petrol fun' came from motorbikes. Although I have raced Go Karts and been on many car track events, the sportiest car I owned before the VX was a BMW 630i. My bike owned, and own list is as follows: Yamaha RD 50 M (16 year old start) Managed to re-buy the same bike from Belgium about 6 months ago. Kawasaki AR 80 (Pass test as a 17 year old) Managed to re-buy similar (C10 not C1 model) about a year ago. Yamaha RD 350 LC YPVS 31K (Move on as 18 year old after passing test) Managed to buy the same bike and model about a year ago. Yamaha RD 500 LC 1GE (Move on as a 20 year old) Managed to re-buy same bike about 2 years ago. Kawasaki Z 250 Scorpion (Winter bike to save RD 500 LC) Suzuki RF 600 1994. (Sold on - worst bike owned...) Honda CBR 600 FW 1998 model (sold on) Yamaha R1 1999 model (sold on) Yamaha R1 2004 model (sold on) Current bikes I have: Yamaha RD 50 M (1981), Kawasaki AR 80 (1997), Yamaha TZR 250 2MA (1988), Yamaha RD 350 LC YPVS 31K (1983), Yamaha RD 500 LC 1GE (1985), Aprilia RS 250 II (2003), Yamaha R1 (2008). As you can see from this current list, with the exception of the R1 they are all 2 strokes. Until recently I also had a Suzuki Burgman Scooter K8 (2009), Suzuki Quad and a Thumpstar 125 Road Ripper. All sold as not being used and of no sentimal value or special interest. Thankfully these all fit in the de-humidified garage with the VX.

Was costly and long winded :-

1. Theory Test + hazard avoidance video (Must Pass to progress to 2)
2. CBT (Must Pass to progress to 3, on geared bike)
3. Manouvers test, wheeling bike about, emergency stop (from 50km), swerve & stop (from 50km), slalom & figure of 8's (must pass to progress to 4)
4. Road Test, 40 minutes with ear piece being followed and instructed where to go. (The end if over 21 years old ride anything, if under 21 years old 125cc only).
