Brought the fancy tool, got it torqued up and still appeared to be loose. Started removing pulley to take off and is being a pain to remove.. can only assume bent Woodruff key. Looks like strip down and start again.. boooo
Did you ever find out why it was loose?
Yup, despite my best endeavours the crank pulley was not on 100% straight/ parallel to the crank..
God knows how I'd even got it anywhere near tight/torqued.. the key on the crank was very soft I think..
Was a faff to get off, but with a proper tool to hold the pulley it was much easier!

Ahh, just noticed this guude says the exhaust and intake sprockets need to be 85 nm + 30 degrees then plus 15 degrees. A video I watched said do 85nm + 30 degrees. Do you think I'm OK leaving it or should I take the cam cover off and do an extra 15 degrees. It felt really tight.

Not sure why it would state torque plus angle... Plus more angle...🙄
