When you've done yours, feel free to come and make mine the same.

Me too!! I vote for 3... Without the fogs, those gaps look way too big in my option. Think any and all of them are an improvement on the original tho... thumbsup

Ive got the same poll up on my local forum to get a different perspective from a different group.

 you mean you are asking a load of yooooths who thing the vx is a hypercar and tehrefore if you did a steaming turd on the front end they would still jizz themselves....

I know what my local crooooooooze forum is like and fcuk me you'd be better off getting advice from a Cat

Tbh it all looks 'good' just if it is functional or 'pretty' you are going for influences the opinion.

BUT as with all this kind of thing, its your car, your money, do what the fcuk you want. IF you are doing it to please others then you really need more help than simply picking car looks

Slindborg i think your jumping the gun a little assuming i meant a 'cruise' forum, im not being arsey in anyway, i can se ethe humour  but when i say local forum, i mean www.sw-cc.com, this is a car enthusiast club with not a single post on 'cruising' They are all track enthusiasts of which i think every car would impress you and others so im likely to get the same response there as here :) projects over there (all done properly not just power no handling) range from a... - 500bhp saab - A bare shells tripped and track prepped 360bhp fiesta turbo mk3 - 520bhp red top turbo astra van again set up for track use - A tb'd cupra, another bare shell strip down and build purely for track use - A 420bhp Seat cupra 1.8t 20v (track car) I think i might start a topic with a few of there cars as i reckon a few could be interested on here :) Gigo you can buy similar vents from a company in sweden, imjust to tight to pay £220, so ive made mine. Thanks for the feedback chinky chinky

[/quote] I like the experiment, and interesting to hear the forums views on it! Do you have an idea how this will affect the aerodynamics - where does all that air go as it flows through the mesh? - Perhaps a solution for cooling those brakes!

Hasn't the OEM+ style mod already been done quite successfully? I can't remember the forum name of the owner though... I've always been a fan of colour coding the V, stops it standing out so much and ties the front together a bit more. More 'Shop required I think :) Oh and 2 and 3 are an abomination chinky chinky

Lumberjack's car (Ian) has the additional cooling ducts on the front of his car if that's the one your thinking of? (it's for sale on PH).

I used Darcinis car as a base image to chop these vents with photoshop :) DaPimp Fogs aren't required up front for the MOT no. Bunsenburner, the airflow has been discussed with previous members fitting similar vents, also the top clam vents like fiveoclockhero... Im going to use a circle saw to cut discreet holes in the inner arch directing air towards the wheel/brake area, more to allow airflow rather than cooling.

http://www.vx220.org...arch__1#entry886295 Nice to know I've inspired someone thumbsup No need to guess which option I would vote for.......It's worth thinking about sorting out the ducting for brake cooling at the fitting stage rather than after the event, I'll upload some pics of my solution later

Thats not the answer I wanted to hear, means I will buying them.

Are they easy to fit? Thinking of getting the car re-sprayed soon, so if I get them I will ask the garage to fit them aswell. Any chance of the link to the website?

Regards
GiGo

dosent OEM+ only really work if there are cars 'higher' up the range of the manufacturer to steal parts from.... so how about fitting an insignia bumper?

Depends what your going to do with the air, if they are just bilnd then I wouldn't bother If your going to do somthing iteresting aerodynamically like pass the air around the side of the car to shroud the wheels then its a great idea. Also the top bar would reduce the drag by reducing the airdam effect from the rad plenum, however I think it looks a little unbalanced maybe it need a bottom bar as well? however would reduce the effectivness of a charge cooler.

I suppose with the new opening being so big you could split the air 25% to brake cooling, 75% to shrouding the wheels. Or some other % that has been actually calculated ;)
