I've got a couple of those vents and even went as far as trying to mock up a back section with an outlet for ducting to the brakes. Even toyed with blanking the inner half of it off, so that a fog/driving light could go in there as I thought there might be too much air. At one point I even went as far as seeing if I could get something like the Focus RS bumper vents to try and do something fancy like shrouding the wheels/tyres. Then realised my enthusiasm far outweighed my ability to do anything like that. In the end, I decided it was pointless wrecking a perfectly original clam and put the vents on the shelf until the day something happens that requires some GRP work to the front. For what it's worth, I'd do as RobNA suggested. thumbsup

Yep, that's the fella. Couldn't find them anywhere without buying a Focus RS bumper which likely would have meant I'd have ended up buying the car to go with it (I'm an RS man at heart). Found some pokey looking Subaru vents but thought the Focus RS looked better and would probably follow the arch line better.

Fashioned a shroud from fibreglass to fit over the back of the vent

Would recommend sealing the back of the vents/clam to stop any moisture entering the fibreglass and creating any oem style bubbling thumbsup

Darcini i did actually acquire some foam blocks and started a few drawings for a rear cover, with clear slats... but with no hard top i decided it would look a little wrong lol I have no plans for anything like that now. Fair play though that looks amazing, do you work with fibreglass for a living? Bodyshop or anything?

Fred: I voted for version 1. less is more ;) Darcini: That boot cover looks nice, is it going to hinge upwards with the just the rear storage cover and lock attached to it :poke: :P Youve taken the original mesh out of the OEM boot so you must be doing something a bit diffrent, whats the plan ?! ;) Sam.

Fred666 "Fair play though that looks amazing, do you work with fibreglass for a living? Bodyshop or anything?" :D far from it mate, just an enthusiastic (dependent on the weather) amateur. I mean, how hard can it be? ;) Sam "Darcini: That boot cover looks nice, is it going to hinge upwards with the just the rear storage cover and lock attached to it :poke: :P Youve taken the original mesh out of the OEM boot so you must be doing something a bit diffrent, whats the plan ?! ;)" I have considered trying to attach to a modified boot section and hingeing from the roll bar, but decided that was way outside of my abilities. It will be an easily removable panel using aerocatches or similar, retaining the the original engine/luggage cover. I was originally going to use the oem mesh from the boot in the new aerodynamic (!) cover but it didn't look right, can't decide whether to go for mesh or a louvred slats type of look......
