Thanks for all the posts Carsten, sorry to hear the VX has been sold. What did it sell for? Was a lovely car. Stay on the forum and let's hear your thoughts on the TT....

36k Euros including 2 Sets of ATC wheels an a spare gearbox with Quaife, which has to be revisioned.

I know, some may say that's a small amount of money after 70k that went into that car over the years. But at the end of the day you have to find someone willing to pay 40k or more. Somewhere is a limit. If you stress it, you may wait for ever for a new owner. Bad luck, my estimation of what I may get for the car was too low. Obviously.

Someone from the NL made me an offer 12k less... <_<

Hi Carsten

Found this thread as it was bumped and found it really entertaining. Godd work. Sad to see you (kind of) leave.

What really caught my eye was the front mounted radiators. I've been thinking of something similar myself. Do you have any more photos and info about how you did it please. For instance where do the air from the side rads go? Out the side in front of the wheel or into the wheel well. If so how have you ventilated it?

Is it possible that you have any templates of the ducting for the side mounted rads or can a copy be made?

Regards

Send me a PM, in my Weblog are lots of details, photos etc.

It's not an easy task to get this all done in a proper way. I am seeing this as my personal masterpiece. :)

Hi,

just popped back in spontaneously.

The selling of my VX was a strange thing. Folks around  told me I will regret it very soon. Never did. Weird.

Did order the TT RS last friday. Will be ready for pickup at the factory around mid of october. I'm really looking forward driving that car. I love the engine and its sound, the AWD is fantastic, and finally the design of the TT has grown up to be a man these days.

Have ordered the car in low profile optics, no silver mirror covers, no fixed rear wing, therefor lots of carbon fiber parts and red design attributes in the cabin in contrast to the grey-black interior.

The car's no bargain for sure, but I think it will be worth the money. Bang for the buck is definetely there in terms of engine and dynamics.

Still cannot upload any photos but if you happen to visit the audi.de site, here's the configuration code:

https://www.audi.de/ATKJE76F

Until next time, bye! :)

Carsten
