Hello Everyone - It is myself....the seller of the Mandarin VX220 in Edinburgh. Firstly can I say how annoyed I am to have both my name and car subjected to negative and improper comments - some of which are downright rubbish and quite damaging to the sale of my car. I have had my car for sale on and off for a few months mainly due to timewasters and to a chap from Europe who left me a deposit only to pull out of the sale due to personal reasons. I agreed to "hold" the car for a period of 4 weeks in order for him to arrange finances and travel but this became almost 7.5 weeks in which time I had to tell propspective purchasers that the car was sold on the basis of a deposit being given. Some people where happy to leave their details in case the sale fell through...however most of the people I recontacted after almost 2 months, had purchased something else. Not an ideal situation but these things happen! I am a very polite and reasonable individual and anyone can search my previous postings and replies to hopefully appreciate this. Mr Boyd on the other hand saw it fit to post incorrect and quite frankly libelous comments which I will not tolerate.....there are always two sides to every story, it is just a shame some members on here where quick to judge me. There was a comment made about the interior looking shabby and full of rubbish. The white spec you see are actually flakes of snow as the shots where taken during a snow fall. My car is immaculate - those who have seen it will testify to it! I think my car is pretty well priced, obviously there is room for some negotiation. I think my location does have a part to play in the slow sale but then again trying to sell a VX220 in the winter season is never going to be an easy task. Im sure there are two sides to every story and things tend to snowball on forums quite quickly. Im sure it'll all work out and anyone who meets you wold form an opinion thats not based on forum hearsay... When the weather picks up Im sure you'll have much more luck selling...

I have no reason to lie. I had already planned a trip to Scotland up until I got your response.

Did I even offer it you on part exchange? Perhaps, you could quote the emails then or have you deleted them/expired too?

Ultimately, you lost a sale to me from your response. It is a nice car as clearly shown i nthe picture above and wish you luck with the sale of it.

Clearly I didn't care too much about the astra going on P/X as I bought one more expensive than yours and still have the astra and I'm in no rush to sell it - it's probably over priced but I'd prefer to keep it than let it go for less.

Mmm, I remember it coming up before on here. But I seem to have forgotten the outcome of the original thread. I remember the exhaust being mentioned....

yes nearly bought it last year and started a thread on it, turns out it was not the first time it was bought up then, cracked windscreen broken wiper motor and been sitting for well over a year now.. funny the price has not dropped a bit more..

This Dolphin blue was for sale back in winter 2008 with exactly the same pictures and price pretty much. Looks good from afar, but not a huge fan of Dolphin, however they are rare. Think there is some info on here about how many (or few in this case) there are!

looked @ this VX last month - said he would move on the price (alittle) 300 green queens to exact! wasn't enough for me. plus I was worried about the lowered (or sport) springs. paint work was bubbling alittle too.

edit: just read the post about the seller being an arse. i remember the thread, just didn't realise this was the car. that would really put me off as you can't trust a thing the guy says with his attitude like that.
if the money is low enough on it its worth a punt though....
i'd just hate to give cash to some tw*t like that - it would hurt too much LOL

Now I hope the vx spntaneously combusts and the guy ends up with nothing.
