What's the background / history of the uniform?
no idea, i bought it as an investment a few years back and now its up for sale for less
never mind these things happen.. i should imagin it'll sell for far more on a war anoversary but i need the cash now.

ok i dont know how to measure so i just got a tape out and these are what i got..
Arm pit to Arm pit 19 inches/49 cm (across the back on the inside)
waist 36 inches/90 cm
inside leg (balls to end of trouser?) 33 inches/85 cm
pit to sleeve 20 inches/51 cm
rapping the tape around me come to about 42 inches/107 cm under my arm pits??

because no one would do it
its going on ebay in a few weeks if its not sold. i have some interest so waiting to hear from them again
