Excellent! The race is on - I fear you'll win though mate as I'm restricted for time (and talent) - My planned completion date is 30th July - well, I say planned - it just has to be all done by then as its booked it for mapping at CS on 31st.

PS: Blue RX8 - I had one in the same colour. No torque but do miss the 9k redline.

I'm targeting being ready by Saturday for the National, shouldn't be too hard either. Biggest job so far has been removing the rear clam for the first time, everything else should just bolt together.

Do you have your base-map sorted?

I'll have the ECU back by mid-week with a base map on, then I expect a 90 minute or so fuel learn session in an evening. From what I've read the base map Peter uses is very rich, so I don't want to run that for too long.

Worst case scenario map on the way to the national. Do a knock ignition session on track. Job 80% done.

Streaking ahead. Good work. I'll be glad when my wiring is done. And even more pleased if its done right. And replacing subframe riv nuts is on my todo as well. Wondered what youre doing with your SC pulley alignment... Are you moving your pulley out 1.5mm, or running on the outer 5 grooves? No chargecooler pump stuff on your list - is that all done as well? Hope it all comes together smoothly.

The wiring isn't too bad. The other guides arn't that clear so here goes:

Unwrap everything from the ECU plugs to past the last injector plug. Cable tie the ECU plugs in approximately the correct location and trace the wires for the charcoal filter. One will have enough slack with the new loom position, the other will need extending.

Do the same with the injector plugs, the positive side will not need to be cut (shared brown/pink wire in my loom), only the switching grounds need to be extended. Only cut one wire at a time. The injector closest to the EGR side will not need extending.

Finally extend the MAP sensor cabling, all three will need extending. Again only do one at a time.

Now bind the loom together at 10 cm gaps or so, then when happy with the wire positioning wrap fully.

Charge cooler pump is currently next to me on my desk. I've just put the relay together, still waiting for a 90 degree silicon joint to mate the pump with the header tank.

Thanks for this. Helps and yep doesn't sound so bad. Didn't understand this though..

Do the same with the injector plugs, the positive side will not need to be cut (shared brown/pink wire in my loom), only the switching grounds need to be extended.

Didn't you have to change your injector plugs?

I mean cutting them to extend, only the switched side needs extending.

I've got everything bar a 90 degree elbow to mount the CC pump and some VXR injectors - both of which should be in the post, if the worst happens I can have a slightly more messy CC pump install without the elbow and use some Z20LET injectors which I already have, but I don't like the idea of running at 98 % duty cycle.
