Removed the steering rack of my car yesterday (i knew it was shot) to find the cast outer casing was in bits, This now leaves me in an awkward position as its no use to the boys at T.G.A or me for the p/x type deal they offer thumbsdown. Just sent an email to see if i could cover the charge of £70 for my rack on top of the £140 ish price they want for the recon item, waiting for the reply on that one.I know you can buy them new at around £450 but not looking to pay that much tho,any help would be great! Cheers Aron

2nd hand rack is about £100 so £70 sounds like a good deal for the hassle.

My brand new quick rack only cost about £300 outright from Titan Motorsport. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they have anything on their shelves.

Who's T.G.A and how many turns is the typical quick-rack that people go for?

I still have my old rack and it will need a refurb before it is any use - worn brass bushes and knocking as a result. But, I would want around £100 for it. Sorry, that doesn't help your situation at all
