Forgot about this thread a bit recently but have a few more little things I have not yet shared photos of.

Mirrors finished. If or when I get round to it I may cut the base plates down a bit as they look a little high to me now they are on, might make them black aswell.

Started to cover door surrounds in a black fabric sort of similar to alcantara but no where near the price. I really like how these look adds a bit more quality to the cabin rather than the cheapo rubber finish.

Cleaned up the leather so it was all the same colour again, you can see the line accross it where years worth of grime have taken their toll.

I found this to be a nice easy strangely enjoyable job to do for some reason.

Head Up Display set into dash. This shows revs, voltage, temperature and speed in both MPH and KPH so will be usefull when I drive accross Europe next week.

It's spot on at night but can be hard to see in bright daylight. There is a square of film you are supposed to use on the windscreen but it looks sh!t so I have not bothered.

These are sturdy plastic with a metal cap and provide a few kilos weight saving over the original heavy solid aluminium ones.

I took a punt on this splitter fitting and the gamble looks to of paid off. It only cost me about £26 and with a little tweeking it will be a perfect fit.

I am still to get round to smoothing it properly, spraying or wrapping etc.

I will be mounting it bolted into easilly removable jacknuts like what I have done with the splitters that way I can swap and change as I please.

 I kinda agree on that. They are not quite what I wanted but for £4.36 all in I thought I would give them a try. As or when I find nicer replacements it will be a 2 minute swap over.

Slightly on the underside of the thinest edge closest to the front of the car. Most of the join is pretty much invisible and I am quite pleased with the job I did on it but a few points have now started to lift and kink forming little ridges that when viewed from the front are pretty obvious and annoying. I am not sure how to go about covering them as the stretch is at it's limit and the adhesion will probably not hold up for a reposition.

You'll never guess, I think it is safe to say I will be the only one with it. It's from a.......

Rover 200!

I will see if the ebay seller can source some more and link you up if your interested? It would probably be an OK fit as it comes but the front lip would need some re-enforcement on the underside and the up swept bits by the wheel arches need to be trimmed a bit really to allow it to sit flush at the edges.

Finished my new custom switch panel today. The car is all wired up and I just need to plug all the spade terminals back onto the switch pins for it to be fully functional. I will need to trim the aluminium dash cut out a bit for it to fit back in which I am not looking forward too. Then hopefully just some strong tape will be enough to hold it on, I am not sure how I'll secure it if it's not.

The switches used are all Savage Motorsport push ones. I loved the look of them and they are quality but bloody expensive at £14.99 each. Times that by the 7 I went for and a bit extra for a few alternative coloured LED's and it was not a particularly cheap mod at around £110! Worth it though I think and I am very happy with the final result.

I used the original plastic dash plate, stuck a piece of plastic behind the opening and then smoothed over the front with filler. Then all I needed to do was smooth it all down, drill the 7 mounting holes and carbon wrap it.

Access to the loom from the front was OK but there was not alot of slack to pull though. I was loath to remove the dash yet again so I just cut and bulleted each wire and ran an extension if I needed it. Wiring including the hazard switch was all fairly straight forward, no real problems incountered and only one careless fuse blown. Posted Image

I did consider adding a resistor and possibly capacitor (to have them fade out) to the ignition switched live feeds and having the switches dimly lit when running only fully illuminating when pressed. I decided against this though due to the extra hassle involved.

Will hopefully get it installed in the car tmrw, and will post more pics of the finished thing then. If anyone was thinking of doing this mod and wanted some pointers on which coloured wire is which etc feel free to shout as I made a note of all the connections and colour combinations. thumbsup

This looks very good and I´m thinking of doing something similar myself.
Question, what carbon film are you using? Is iteasy to work with?
The panel you have wrapped with carbon film is it the original one or have you made a new one and in which material?
Thank you, Per

It is the original panel with the central slot smoothed over. The CF film is easy enough to stretch over a simple shape like the switch panel. I used 3M dinoc but the newer 3000 series stuff would be better now it's available.

Can you help me out?

The ones you highlighted are - Hazard - SW3005 (This does not have enough pins to wire it up as it is. You will need to adapt the cars wires slightly and/or add a relay or just dummy the front onto the original switch as I have done. Sidelight - SW3007 (I changed the blue LED to a green one for this) I think I went for Light - SW3006 switch due to one of them looking a bit too similar to the sidelight switch for my liking and I wanted it to be easier to distinguise between the two. http://www.trillogyl.../prod_1513.html
