top left is ABS cut off i presume?

Yeah, well an indicator light for it, it's not actually a switch that one.
I did not really need it as I will be fitting a key switch for ABS in my forthcoming center console mod. I mainly bought the extra one to keep the layout more symetrical and pleasing to the eye and could not think of any other symbol to fill the place.

I like it but not sure how it will fit in with rest of the car. It reminds me of Streetfighter II

Trillogy Ltd are the company that make them.

I got all mine from ebay seller 'atozdiscounts4you' they where the cheapest I could find them.

Unfortunatly they all come with blue lights if you want replacement LED's in different colours I can reccommend this ebay seller who did me a good discount.

Pictures of switches fitted, it may look like spagetti junction but it's quite organised and neat really.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Also now have fitted Nicky Grist harnesses courtesy of Cliffie. Really pleased with the looks and quality of these.

Posted Image

Posted Image

New aerial fitted. I think I like it I was just going to go for a shorter 'bee-sting' one but plumped for a 'shark fin' style instead. I am considering blending in a row of venturi along the top of the roll bar cover and then carbon wrapping it so was not sure which aerial would look best with that...

I recently acquired a spare front V for a very reasonable price and have started work on de-badging, smoothing and spraying that.
It will be going black like the one I have on now just with no badge and probably a red tow ring in the middle.

Hopefully I should be able to remove the one that's on my car now keeping it fairly intact without having to mess about removing the clam then I will do that one up aswell and sell it on for a profit.

Posted Image

Once sanded back to the plastic the black of that actually gives quite a good finish on its own -

Posted Image

I have also bought something that the VX has allways been crying our for... a clock! :o
It's from a BMW originally, I am going to tidy up the dash cut out behind the stereo and slot it in there. The cubby hole will have an AV in / Ipod connector wire inside and will be used to store my MP3 player when plugged into the head unit. :)
Saw it on ebay for about a tenner and had to have it as it looked ideal for the job. I have tested it all, dismanteled and sprayed the inner ring red and fitted a new red back illumination LED.

Sparco Settanta gear knob now fitted instead of my other silver one which does not really fit in anymore with the other grey blacks and reds.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I went for the one intended for lift up reverse cars as I prefered it to the normal gearbox one of the same Settanta design. It's hollow inside and is really easy to fit. I find it comfortable to use as I like having a small knob.

I should really try to finish one job before starting another but regardless project gauge mount center console divide is now underway. :groupjump:

Main pieces jigsawed out so they slot in neatly.

Two new courtesy lights either side linked to the starter button illumination with a fade out delay.
They are from a Mazda MX-5 originally.

Carpet marked out and cut to shape. I just got it all finished when I looked at it and thought something isn't right with this. I had only gone and reverse cut it so the white backing would be facing out on the wrong side if installed. Idiot. :beat: So before I bin it and do the job again does anyone want one making for a LHD?! Just as well I could only buy the carpet by the width of the roll!

Hey Dab-o, I feel "closed in" enough in the cabin already without a centre divide, but I like the idea with the MX5 lights,... should look good. If you fit led lamp replacements, don't be surprised to have lamps on dim all the time/fail to light/never switch off etc...letric works funny in them plastic cars!

DoO You need to walk away from the car. STOP. It probably looked at its best about 3 pages back, but its starting to resemble the accidental coital union between a VX and the Demon Tweeks 'styling' catalogue.

What about the front bonnet lever? Has it fallen off, or will it be relocated?

I knew the closed in comments would come, I ran with a cardboard template in place for a while to ensure Ia could live with it before deciding to go ahead with this and did not find it to be a problem at all. Getting in and out is unaffected and unlike the oem brace it is mounted lower down so no banging of knees etc for me at least.

Yeah discovered the LED's, start butron is fine but lights would stay on if I changed bulbs. Don't know if I can be bothered with ffitting a resistor in parralell or not.

All in your opinion of course, it's my car.. Point taken though and I can't expect it to be to everyones tastes. I am nearly where I want to be with the interior now so not much more to come. Then a few more exterior mods and onto upping the power. As I said before it's a daily driver and I value my comfort and gadgets. Weight purists will be pleased to know that it is in fact probably at the same level as OEM as various bits have been removed / replaced to offset the addtiions.

Theres still room to get at it and operate it from its original position. But mine has allways been broke anyway so I pulled it off and I will probably be re-locating it, you can see it just hanging down at the moment.
